Red - Brindle - smooth
weight: 8 lbs 10 ozs
Age: She is only 5 years old

This little girl's sire is a 100% English cream import and is a proven carrier of english cream, her dam was a brindle piebald she is also proven to carry for the piebald gene. she makes beautiful puppies.   However she is extremely shy, sweet but shy, she is not a biter just shy, she will cuddle with you once you pick her up, For this reason we are only looking for a quite home with someone that is willing to work with her issues and try to bring her out of her shell.  She is not housetrained, but does know how to use a doggy door.
we may also consider an  a  breeder home but we will be very picky on which breers we will consider.

We get asked all the time "how can you possibly part with your adult dogs"? the answer to that is, if you are on this page it is because you feel you can offer a great home to an adult dog, that you are looking for an adult because maybe you don't want to deal with all the puppy issues, or maybe you just want a more quite and calm pet.  We want them to go to a home where they can relax with you, maybe go for walks, and live out their lives in someones lap.  While it is ALWAYS very difficult to part with our babies, sometimes we feel that a certain dog should go to a new home.  Maybe they need to be the only dachshund in the home, or possibly they aren’t quite right for our breeding program.  Sometimes we find ourselves with too many babies to give them all the quality time they need. Whatever the reason, we look at the prospective new owners very carefully.  Dachshunds live to be 15 to 18 years of age and some have been known to live over 20 years.  So please don't discount the older dachshund as part of your family, older dachshunds are easier to train, There are times when an older adult coming from us may not be "housebroken", however ...contrary to popular belief, an older adult is much easier to potty train than a young puppy.   plus they don't chew up your shoes, and they make great family dogs and companions.  All available dogs are current on vaccines and dewormings. Any/All health issues will be made known to you prior to purchasing.

Please note: We do not wet down our kibble for our puppies, and we recommend that you never wet it down either, or give canned food to your puppy, doing so only makes for finicky eaters, which is very difficult to deal with.   Your puppy will be eating dry kibble way before you take your puppy home.  Your puppy may not want to eat the first day or so, but do not fret, your puppy will not starve itself, and will resume eating once he/she is comfortable in it's new home
